Eltingville is a neighborhood on the South Shore of Staten Island, located south of Great Kills and north of Annadale. Many of the area homes have been built about the time when the Verrazano Narrows Bridge opened in mid-1960's, on what used to be a farmland. Homebuyers looking into this neighborhood will find a nice mix of single and two family homes, as well as some townhouses. The neighborhood is served by a number of local buses along Hylan Blvd, Amboy Road and Richmond Ave. The Eltingville Transit Center, at Arthur Kill Road and Richmond Ave, is the hub for many of the express buses to and from Manhattan. Another convenient option for city commuters is the SI Railroad train nearby.
